Continuing the Conversation

Featuring Breaking Down Barriers

Each year we put on educational and inspiring shows which share our history and cultural heritage. This year we have been unable to launch our usual season nor take in ticket sales. That’s why we are asking for you to help us keep the dream of cause-based community theatre alive by watching Continuing the Conversation and donating to help us fund our 2021 Season.

This online fundraiser will kick off August 19 and last until October 19 with the goal of raising $10,000 by its end.

Our five-segment fundraising series is in response to the latest stream of deaths by innocent people of color by the police. Hosted by our Artistic Director, Kandace Crystal, and featuring interviews with members of Breaking Down Barriers, our series will look at incidents like the Massacre at Wounded Knee, Japanese Internment Camps and the Stonewall Riots.

Your donations will help us fund two important world premiers next season. We are excited to finally debut CHOICE, our first original play written by Alli Mayville about the very serious problem of bullying. Secondly we will debut The Phoenix Project a dance show to raise awareness around the epidemic of Military Sexual Trauma by sharing the stories of survivors through modern dance. Any amount can help us towards our continuing goal of raising Awareness Through the Arts.

Do you need a tax deduction for charity? With tax season coming at the first of the year, get your donations in now!

Help us keep the dream alive.
